Vietnam’s Cashew and black pepper exports achieved three-digit growth in March 2024

In March 2024, Vietnam’s agriculture witnessed two exported products achieve three-digit growth compared to the previous month; they included cashew nut and black pepper. These are two of the key agricultural products Mai Anh Group is exporting to international markets.

Accordingly, the cashew export volume reached 58,922 tons, with a turnover of $315.45 million, an increase of 121.6% in volume, and an increase of 122.3% in turnover compared to February 2024.

As accumulated by the end of March, cashew exports reached 150,683 tons and turnover reached $808.85 million, an increase of 35.4% in volume and 24.6% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, pepper exports reached 25,917 tons, and turnover reached $111.58 million, up 92.7% in volume but up 104.8% in turnover compared to the previous month.

Despite a sharp increase in March, in the first 3 months of the year, pepper export results still decreased sharply in volume, while turnover only increased slightly. Accumulated for the first quarter of 2024, pepper exports were 56,783 tons, and turnover reached $235.82 million, down 25.4% in volume, up 1.1% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.
